What a busy night we had! Rachel kicked the evening off with her ‘snappy’ introduction and then we headed to our workstations to learn how to make some continental sweets, decorate cup cakes, and Christmas gift wrap our efforts.

So many thanks
To all the sisters who kindly contributed to the Sweet Shop – a huge thank you! Nancy’s punch was a great early taste of Christmas, and the recipe, along with recipes for the sweets we made, is in the handout. If you didn’t get a handout on the night, there’s a few on the Relief Society table at the Church entrance. You can also download the handout, and the link is at the bottom of the post.
We have to give a very special mention to Amy, who’s preparation was faultless, and who put so much effort into instructing us on the art of cake decoration! Thank you Amy!
And of course, we can’t forget to say thanks to Frances who led sweet-making and gift-wrapping, and Nancy and Rachel who also demonstrated at one of the sweet-making tables. What talent we have in this ward!
Here’s a little reminder of some of the ways that you can present your sweets as gifts.
Candy cane centrepiece
Here’s a really cute centrepiece for the table – children will love this!
